We're not currently accepting submissions except through our "Fan Stories for Charity" contest. Authors who submit stories to this contest receive no pay, but do retain full rights to their stories.
GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Who We Are: Terra Linda Books is a short story and poetry anthology as well as novels e-book publisher, edited by GM Copeland.
What We Are Looking For: Terra Linda Books welcomes short story and poetry based on theme for our anthologies as well as individual novels and novelettes. When we review submissions, we're looking for everything from unique original stories to classic stories with a twist. We want our readers to go on an adventure so intoxicating that they can't put the book down until they've finished it.
FORMAT GUIDELINES
All manuscripts must be formatted in Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier font, font size 12, double spaced with 1" margins.
Include a title page with your name and contact information in the lower left corner.
Use a header at the top of each page (starting on the first page of your story/poem) that includes your name or penname, the title of your story or poem, and the page number.
Start each new chapter (for novelette/novella/novel submissions only) on its own page one-third of the way down.
The chapter number (and title if you have them) should be in all caps and centered on the page (separated by two hyphens).
Start your chapter four to six lines below your chapter number (and title).
Indent each new paragraph (short stories and longer).
Indicate scene breaks with # # # centered on the page.
Don't make us guess. Label your submission in the upper right corner of your title page with your genre and total word count.
Write END at the bottom of the last page.
SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
Poetry
No more than two pages in length. Part of an anthology or collection. We only accept these submissions in relation to current contests or as part of an author's individual anthology or collection.
Short Story
Total word count should range from 2,500 to 7,500 words and should contain one story line. We only accept these submissions in relation to current contests or as part of an author's individual anthology or collection.
Novelette/Novella
Total word count should range from 7,500 to 40,000 words.
Novel
Total word count should range from 40,000 to 150,000 words.
Short Story

OTHER GUIDELINES
All submissions should be emailed to terralindabooks@gmail.com and should have in the subject line "QUERY: YOUR BOOK TITLE".
Also include a brief synopsis (one page for short stories, 2-3 pages for novelettes/novellas, and 3-5 pages for novels) of your story.
Query letters are welcome in place of the brief synopsis and should be no longer than two pages in length. DETAIL THE MAIN POINTS OF YOUR ENTIRE PLOT, INCLUDING THE ENDING. SUBMISSIONS WITHOUT AN ENDING WILL BE IGNORED.
